V-ATP

Our mission

V-ATP represents the university and educational policy interests of the administrative and technical representative body within the university as well as towards authorities and the public on a cantonal, national, and international level.

V-ATP provides appropriate information on university and higher education policy issues for the members of its representative body.

V-ATP is the addressee for consultations within UZH and organises the delegate elections of the representative body.

We represent the concerns of the administrative and technical staff

Since 01.04.2020 the administrative-technical staff (ATP) forms an own representative body of the UZH and therefore officially has co-determination rights.

We represent the ATP as a politically and denominationally neutral association recognised by UZH. As a representative body organisation we are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Election of ATP delegates to the committees of the university, faculties as well as institutes and seminars.
  • Networking of the ATP delegates in committees
  • Organisation of consultations and other forms of academic self-government
  • Contact point for concerns of ATP staff

Predecessor organisation VIP-UZH (2005-2020)

On 13 April 2005, the association VIP-UZH (Association of the Infrastructure Staff of the University of Zurich) was founded.

For the establishment of a fourth representative body at UZH and the full right of co-determination, VIP took several steps. Gradually, ATP members were invited to join university committees, elections took place, and the VIP was invited to participate in consultations.

With the establishment of the fourth representative body, the association was transferred to the new representative body organisation V-ATP.
